Pollock's Water
This abstract photograph presents a dynamic field of light and shadow, featuring numerous white and off-white circular forms reminiscent of bokeh. These luminous organic shapes appear to float against a deep black background, creating a serene yet vibrant atmosphere through their varied sizes and soft edges. The composition evokes the shimmering effect of light reflecting off water.
'Pollock's Water' is an abstract photography series initially developed from light flickering off the frozen stream at the back of Jackson Pollock's home and studio. The original series, on large format canvases with paint dripped on top, was exhibited at my solo exhibition in Southampton (NY) at the Hampton Road Gallery, owned by Peter Marcelle, the famed New York gallery owner and dealer. The leading original image is now available as a digital NFT art rephotography rendition. Series of 100.
