Pollock's Water
This abstract rephotography rendition features numerous white, defocussed light circles, creating a bokeh effect against a dark, slightly textured background. The composition evokes a sense of sparkling light or ethereal bubbles, reminiscent of light reflecting off water, fitting the series' inspiration from Jackson Pollock's frozen stream.
'Pollock's Water' is an abstract photography series initially developed from light flickering off the frozen stream at the back of Jackson Pollock's home and studio. The original series, on large format canvases with paint dripped on top, was exhibited at my solo exhibition in Southampton (NY) at the Hampton Road Gallery, owned by Peter Marcelle, the famed New York gallery owner and dealer. The leading original image is now available as a digital NFT art rephotography rendition. Series of 100.
